27 April – 4 May, 2019 – Intermediate level
Devon in South West England has two coastlines, a rough and rugged Atlantic coast and a softer, but equally dramatic, Southern Coast.
We’ll use a fixed base campsite with good showers and convenient access to facilities for this trip. Day paddles on the South coast with introduction to rock hopping, edging, turning and boat control together with some longer journeys to hidden villages and idyllic coves. As confidence and skills increase we’ll visit more dynamic water with surf and tide races.
The conditions can be hugely varied but there’s always a corner with shelter whatever the wind direction. As part of the trip we’ll aim to visit the historic towns of Salcombe, Dartmouth, Brixham and Totnes.
